Busy Bee

It's been a busy morning for me already with my 3rd Valentines card of the day done and dusted! The Gilded Love Card is my fav today! I just love how the Gilding Flakes have taken to the Chip Board letters and I made so much mess (so much more fun) making my own bespoke coloured glitter mixing gold with a bright red to get this kind of rose gold / coppery colour :) Both of the cards below were made using Darice Embossing Folders and Bazil Basics Bling Card Stock. I have had a few questions about the card below so I thought I would add a guide so you too can make these too wonderful Love Cards :)
This is a 8" sq White Card Blank matted with Dark Gold Shimmer Paper at 15cm sq, I then cut down a sheet of the White Bazil Basic's Bling card stock to 14.5cm sq and put it in my Darice Regal Corner Embossing Folder and embossed one corner then turned is 180dg and embossed the opposite corner. Once embossed I wiped over with my anti Static bag and using my Quickie Glue Pen and went over the embossed design ready to add my bespoke colour glitter (red and gold mixed together). While my glitter was drying I got out my Chip Board Letters and Gilded them with Autum Rose Gilding Flakes and edge the letters with more of the glitter I had mixed. All that was left to do now was to put the card together using Collall Glue Gel for the Letters and adding a organza bow with a gold framed pearl brad in the centre. A card that looks amazing and complicated but yet so simple to achieve :)

This card was mading using a Scalloped 5 X 7" White Card Blank and matting it with Silver Mirri Board and Red Bazil Basic's Bling card stock, I then took a slightly smaller mat in the White Bazil Bling and embossed it using the Darice Ornate Heart Embossing Folder. I then matted the Embossed card on to more silver mirri board and using finger lift tape secured it to the card. I then drew round some chip board letters and cut them out of the same red card stock I had used for the mat and embossed them with ultra thick embossing enamel. I attached the Love to the card using Collall Gel Glue, added some red Gems, a red satin edge organza ribbon with a silver framed red brad in the centre and that was the end :)

With Valentines round the Crafty Corner I have started getting all my girly, romantic stash out and found all my lovely flourishes and hearts stamps.

I found myself using two of the mini flower stamps over and over again with different results. That is the beauty of stamping, you can use one stamp and produce many different looks.
So it has got me thinking that it is a good theme for a competition. So come on,why don't you all put you're creative heads on, choose a stamp from you're collection and see how many ways you can use it to produce a different look, lets say five or more times. Then post me a picture to show how you used it and the winner will be the person who has managed to use it in the most different ways. The prize will be a Popcorn Pals birthday hugs stamp set,so go and get started and show me what you can do,I look forward to seeing you're work. Winner to be announced on the 14th Jan
