Owl Birthday Card
This is my Owl Birthday Card I made today. I used a 8 inch scalloped card blank and drew round it on the back of my chosen backing paper to make it easier to cut out, I then inked the edges of both the card blank and the backing card with Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Ink Pad & then attached the backing card to the card blank, I then used Silver Peel Off Boarders round the edge. I then cut out my circle topper and used a glue pen to apply Glitter and Silver Foil to the owls and then Black Pearls for the eyes. I stuck down the circle topper in the centre of my card andused the same Silver Peel Off's round the edge. Next I used my Crafter's Companion Small Dot's 8 inch embossing folder with the red decoupaged outer circle then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Red Brick Ink pad before using Silicone Glue to raise them on the card. I finished the card of with Red & Green Pearls.

Stamping
I Have been trying more stamping since returning from my Crafty Holiday and I decided to finally open all the new stamps I bought from the NEC last year including one of my fav's Popcorn Bear. I must say I really did enjoy the stamping although not as much as the colouring! I have used both Pro Markers and Spectrum Noir and although both have the good and bad points I find myself preferring the Spectrum Noir Pens.
I made this Card for a friend who recently had a baby boy who is just beautiful. I started by choosing the Light Blue & Purple BK Paper and cutting it to size and sticking to my card blank. I then cut 5 Grand Labels One die's descending in size, 3 in White Card, 2 in Silver Mirri, I then went on to Embossed 3 of the die cut squares with my CC Small Dots 8x8 Folder then inking them on the de boss with Tim Holtz Broken China ink. I then layered them up with the 2 Silver Mirri Square Die Cuts. I stamped my image of baby popcorn on the smallest die cut square and coloured him in with my Spectrum Noir Pens Blue & Yellow & stamped my sentiment underneath. I went on to add a Light Blue Glitter Boarder and added it to the 5 layered mat I had put together. I made the flowers using the left over backing paper and a flower die. I added Create & Craft Brads to the centre of the flowers for the finishing touch.
I think back to the days when I first started crafting using nothing but Card Kits using no imagination just putting the pieces together. Now I enjoy designing my cards using my imagination, looking through my stash for ideas! Using Stamps, Masks, Die's, Guilding Flakes and just recently CD Crafting. I have seen my cards go from heavy, stiff mass produced cards to unique, beautiful cards each one different and none of them from cards kits lol

A House Mouse Christmas
After being sent a Joanna Sheen House Mouse Christmas CD and seeing my crafty friends produce some lovely house mouse cards I decided to take a look myself and after days of choosing which toppers and papers to print and then a few more days of designing and finishing touches these are my results.
Although I prefer to make 8x8 cards due to postage prices and the amount of cards to send I made most of the cards A5 saving the 8x8's for close friends and family but I think the A5's are just
as lovely as the 8x8's.

A Visit To See My Crafty Friend Angela O'Donoghue
I Travelled Miles to go spend a week with my crafty best friend Angela, she is a great card maker and we had lots of fun crafty shopping, sharing die cuts, swapping dies and eventually making a card together! Angela is a great stamper and I am a ok stamper so we did a Torad Stamped Card so Angela could show me all the tricks of Stamping!
The Stamped \Torad Image was coloured using Spectrum Noir Pens just using colours from the 60 Basics set. We also stamped the pink back ground using a floral stamp from Kanban. I think we did a great job on this one!
